FOR CREATORS

Technology

MTOUS for

creators is a public-private partnership launched by MTOUS and the Music Rights Awareness Foundation

Creators from around the world contribute to the richness and diversity of culture, and we all appreciate their stories, music, films, and art. In order for this to continue, all our valuable creators must be equipped with the necessary knowledge to successfully manage their intellectual property rights. WIPO for Creators is a unique public-private partnership, and with the support of creators, other stakeholders, and governments worldwide, it will build a truly open and inclusive community. It will work together to enhance networks and infrastructure supporting the growth of creative industries everywhere.

Support for Creators

I work extensively on visual arts projects in Africa and was thrilled when I learned about the UOI initiative for creators... If creative work is exploited without rewarding the author, it amounts to intellectual property theft. That's the crux of the matter... I believe all forms of property, whether intellectual or material, should be respected. Otherwise, no one will be able to innovate. If my work is used anywhere in the world with or without my permission, either maintaining its meaning or altering it, I would be very unhappy and unable to create further.
