The Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech is a stunning tribute to the legendary fashion designer who fell in love with the Red City and made it his second home. The museum showcases a vast collection of his work, from iconic haute couture creations to sketches and accessories, offering a fascinating glimpse into the creative genius of one of the 20th century’s most influential designers.

A Love Affair with Marrakech
Yves Saint Laurent first visited Marrakech in 1966 and was immediately captivated by its colors, culture, and vibrant energy. He and his partner, Pierre Bergé, bought a house here and returned every year to design his new collections. The city became a source of endless inspiration for him, and its influence can be seen in many of his most famous creations.
The museum, which opened in 2017, is a beautiful building that blends modern design with traditional Moroccan elements. It houses a permanent collection of over 5,000 items of clothing, 15,000 accessories, and tens of thousands of sketches and other objects.
